Terms & Conditions

Website use and service terms for ShipLite AU → PH air cargo.

Language / Wika:

1. Who we are

ShipLite is an Australian-based cross‑border logistics service for personal and small‑business shipments from Australia to the Philippines. References to “we”, “us” or “ShipLite” include our staff and authorised partners.

These Terms govern (a) your use of the website shiplite.au and (b) booking and carriage using our service.

2. Accepting these Terms

  • By using the website or making a booking, you agree to these Terms (including policies we link to) and our Privacy Notice.
  • If you use the service for someone else, you confirm you are authorised to bind them and you share responsibility for compliance.
  • We may update these Terms. Continued use after posting changes means you accept the revised Terms.

3. Safety rules & declarations

  • You must truthfully declare all contents and answer safety questions at booking and hand‑over. Misdeclaration can result in holds, removal, fines, disposal, or referral to authorities.
  • Loose/spare batteries and power banks are not accepted. Consumer devices with installed lithium batteries may be accepted within airline limits. See Gadgets & Batteries Guide.
  • Alcoholic beverages ≤ 24% ABV in retail bottles may be accepted subject to quantity and PH customs limits. Higher ABV is DG and not accepted on standard service. See Permitted & Prohibited.
  • Security X‑ray/inspections may open, make safe, remove, delay, or return items without notice. You are liable for related costs.

4. Booking, hand‑over & eligibility

  • Bookings are made via our app/portal. We may refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion (e.g., safety, compliance, overdue fees).
  • Maximum actual weight per box is 33 kg. Items over this actual weight are not accepted. Volumetric weight has no upper limit but charges apply.
  • Chargeable weight is the higher of actual or volumetric (L×W×H in cm ÷ 5000). From 30 kg and above, tiered/kg rates apply.
  • Hand‑over requires ID and payment (or confirmed invoice terms). You authorise us to prepare airwaybills and export documentation as agent.

5. Fees, taxes & payment

  • Prices exclude duties, taxes, excise, VAT, storage, remote‑area, re‑delivery, return‑to‑sender, or special handling unless stated otherwise.
  • Customs, FDA‑DOH and other regulatory fees in the Philippines are payable by the consignee unless we agree in writing.
  • We may correct under‑charges if dimensions/weight differ at screening. Non‑payment may result in holds, return, or disposal.
  • Card/FX fees may apply. Invoices are due on receipt unless otherwise shown.

6. Transit, delivery & timeframes

  • Transit times are estimates only and may be affected by screening, customs, weather, peak seasons, or force majeure.
  • Delivery attempts follow local carrier rules. Unsuccessful delivery may incur storage, address‑correction, or re‑delivery fees.
  • We may split or consolidate consignments to comply with limits or improve handling.

7. Prohibited & restricted items

You are responsible for ensuring your shipment complies with airline, airport, export, and import rules. Our Permitted & Prohibited Items page forms part of these Terms.

8. Loss, damage & claims

  • No default insurance. Declared value is not insurance. Optional cover (if offered) must be purchased before uplift and is subject to policy terms.
  • Visible damage/shortage must be noted at delivery and reported with photos within 7 days. Concealed loss/damage: report within 7 days of delivery. Loss in transit: report within 30 days of the last scan.
  • Packaging must meet a “drop and stack” standard. Inadequate packaging, prohibited items, and misdeclaration void claims.
  • Our maximum liability (to the extent permitted by law) is the lower of (i) fees you paid for the affected consignment or (ii) AUD 200 per box, unless Australian Consumer Law requires more.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Returns, abandonment & disposal

  • If customs or screening rejects contents, we will (where lawful) attempt return at your cost. If return is not possible, you authorise lawful disposal or destruction.
  • Undeliverable freight, unpaid charges, or abandoned shipments may be sold, returned, or destroyed after reasonable notice to recover costs.

10. Website use

  • Do not misuse the site (e.g., security testing, scraping beyond normal use, or harmful code). We may suspend or block access.
  • Content is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error‑free operation.
  • Links to third parties are for convenience only; we are not responsible for their content or policies.

11. Privacy & data

  • We collect and use data to operate the service (e.g., contact details, shipment data, payment references). By using the service, you consent to this processing.
  • We may share data with carriers, customs brokers, regulators, and service providers to fulfil your shipment.
  • Marketing emails are opt‑in and you can unsubscribe at any time.

12. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access or services for breaches (including abusive behaviour, fraud, chargebacks, misdeclaration, or safety risks).

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

14. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. For questions: hello@shiplite.au.
