✅ Allowed (no hazard fee)
Phones
Built‑in battery ≤100 Wh. One or two per box is fine.
Tablets
iPad/Galaxy Tab; 1–2 per box usually no fee.
Laptops
1–2 units per box typically OK.
PlayStation (console only)
Tiny button cell only. OK by air.
PlayStation + 1–2 controllers
Small batteries in controllers; usually no fee.
Nintendo Switch / Steam Deck
OK by air. Keep quantities per box low.
Cameras / GoPro
Battery installed only. Do not include loose spares.
Watches / PC motherboards
Button cells are fine.
Desktop PCs / monitors
Allowed — no big batteries.
Fridge magnets / small magnets
OK by air (within threshold).
⚠️ Allowed (may incur handling fee)
PlayStation + 3+ controllers
May need lithium battery marking ⇒ handling fee may apply.
Cordless power tools
≤100 Wh packs (e.g., 18 V×5 Ah=90 Wh) usually OK; multiple packs/units can add a fee.
Drones (battery installed)
OK by air, but no spare loose drone batteries. Extra checks possible.
Magnetised material within limits
May need declaration/shielding ⇒ handling fee may apply.
Dyson‑type stick vacuums
Many packs are >100 Wh. Some airlines won’t accept; sea may be easier.
❌ Not allowed by air (send by sea instead)
Loose lithium batteries & power banks
Not accepted by air. Remove or send by sea.
Damaged/defective/recalled batteries
Never accepted by air.
Large e‑bike/e‑scooter/vehicle packs
Typically exceed limits for air transport.
Bulk/strong magnets over threshold
If field remains high after packaging, air is not permitted.
10‑second rule of thumb
If it switches on without a cord and is bigger than a phone, expect checks. One or two items are usually fine; many items or big batteries can mean a handling fee — or send by sea.
Watt‑hour (Wh) quick math
Wh = V × Ah. Phones ≈ 10–15 Wh. Laptops ≈ 40–100 Wh. Tool packs can exceed 100 Wh.
